Along with helping families financially after the loss of a child, we also look for other resources that families may need. Below is a list of resources that we have found that may be helpful in families time of need. 

Jaiden's Angels

​A nonprofit charity that serves to provide services and support to local families with critically injured and terminally ill children. Their initial mission is to offer non-traditional outreach to these families; providing memorial planning, funeral expenses, and insurance co-payments. http://www.jaidensangel.org/index.shtml 

The Good Grief Program

The program is out of Boston Children's Hospital but has groups outside of Massachusetts. They provide services for children dealing with grief. This grief does not have to the the loss of a sibling, but can be. 

The Compassionate Friends

The mission of The Compassionate Friends: When a child dies, at any age, the family suffers intense pain and may feel hopeless and isolated. The Compassionate Friends provides highly personal comfort, hope, and support to every family experiencing the death of a son or a daughter, a brother or a sister, or a grandchild, and helps others better assist the grieving family. https://www.compassionatefriends.org/about/ 

Friends of Aine

Friends of Aine was founded following the sudden passing of eight year old Aine, to raise awareness about the grief that children experience upon the loss of a sibling. Friends of Aine aims to support children in NH and the Northeast through bereavement services.

Grief Watch

GRIEF WATCH is a publisher and manufacturer of bereavement books and materials used by families and professionals around the country.  It is based at the 18th Ave Peace House, site of a variety of ministries focused on hospitality, community, peace-making, and care for the dying.

Centering

Centering Corporation is a non-profit (501 C-3) organization dedicated to providing education and resources for the bereaved. Centering was founded in 1977 by Joy and Dr. Marvin Johnson. Centering started with nine little coloring books for hospitalized children and two workshop offerings for nurses and families. In response to the need for support by families and caregivers while facing their grief experience we developed many new resources. Today we have over 500 grief resources for children and adults. Centering continues to provide educational resources and bookstore for caregivers and families.

The Dougy Center

The mission of The Dougy Center is to provide support in a safe place where children, teens, young adults and their families grieving a death can share their experiences. Through our Pathways Program we provide a safe place for families facing an advanced serious illness.

KidSaid

KidSaid is a daughter site of GriefNet.org. GriefNet is a place where anyone dealing with grief or major loss can come for help. They have email support groups, resources and a bookstore. KidSaid is where kids can come, to get help and to help each other.
